Growing Hemp
Learn how to grow a hemp plant
1. Seed Germination
Objective: Initiate the life of your hemp seed by breaking its outer shell.
Method: Soak the seeds in a glass of warm water and place it in a dark and warm environment for 24-48 hours. Then, transfer them to a plate lined with damp kitchen paper. Wait until you see roots appear, 1-2 cm long.
Tips: Keep the seeds moist, but not soaked. Excess moisture can lead to mold.
2. Planting the Sprout
Objective: Provide a new home for your sprout to grow.
Method: Prepare a small pot with suitable soil and make a small hole 1 cm deep for your sprout, ensuring the root is facing downwards. Gently cover with soil and water moderately.
Tips: Choose a pot that allows for good drainage to prevent water accumulation.
3. Plant Care
Objective: Ensure your plant grows strong and healthy.
Method: Place the plant in a location that receives 12 to 16 hours of light per day. Water when the soil begins to dry out, but avoid letting it become too damp.
Tips: Observe your plant and adjust water and lighting to its needs.
4. Transferring the Plant Outdoors
Objective: Allow your plant to thrive outdoors.
Method: When the plant reaches 20-30 cm, choose a cloudy day or the early morning hours for transplanting. Prepare a hole in your garden that is large enough, with nutrient-rich and well-draining soil, and gently transfer the plant.
Tips: Ensure the chosen spot has excellent sun exposure and is sheltered from strong winds.
5. Plant Maintenance
Objective: Ensure your plant grows strong and healthy.
Method: Place the plant in a location that receives 12 to 16 hours of light per day. Water when the soil begins to dry out, but avoid letting it become too damp.
Tips: Observe your plant and adjust water and lighting to its needs.
